There are a great number of recruitment agencies out there that don't really make it pleasant for businesses to use their services. When a business utilizes the services of a recruitment agency, there are a number of things that they should be able to expect from the agency.
... from the initial brief being taken to the follow up calls with yourself and the candidate after they have taken up employment with your company. See our complete 'Recruitment Process' for the full list of steps we go through on behalf of our clients.
... that is the result of this extensive recruitment process. As per our full 6 month guarantee, we will not recommend you take on a new employee from us unless we think they are 100% suited to the role. If they are not, quite simply they will most likely leave, and this will most likely happen during the term of our guarantee, leaving us with the job of re-filling the role (at no charge to yourself). This is a considerable misuse of your time as well as ours.
... of at least 2 references that we deem to be relevant for the position being recruited. These will recorded accurately, exactly as the responses are given to the consultant, and will be forwarded on to the client before any interviewing of the candidate is conducted by the client.
Again, there are a number of agencies out there that are offering a less than thorough recruitment process, and charging enormous fees to do so. Due to the current shortage of quality staff in Australia, some agencies are getting away with this, which is a shame. At Key Recruitment we charge a sliding percentage of the annual salary, which is below industry standards, for the position we are recruiting for. This is one of the most competitive fees we have found throughout Australia.
One of Australia's largest (but by no means best) agencies charges up to 22% of the total salary package to fill a role! Remember, being the biggest doesn't necessarily mean you get the best candidates.
